Tile Design Ideas
Tile flooring is one of the most versatile flooring options available. You can install tile just about anywhere in your home, and even outside or in four season extensions on your home. At Parker’s carpet One Floor & Home we offer a wide variety of floor and wall tiles.
When choosing tile, there are some things home owners need to consider, such as how much traffic your floors see on a daily basis. Ceramic tile is a popular option and is almost always the first to be considered for kitchen and bathroom floors. If you want the same look but great durability, then porcelain tile may be the better option. Porcelain is both water and heat resistant, making it a great option for an outdoor patio. Stone tiles are another option, and have a more natural look and appeal to them. It may be more expensive, but offers a look of its own as well as adds value to your home.
Wall and Backsplash Tile
Tiles are not just limited to the floor, they are practical and functional in other settings as well. Wall tile compliments walls in kitchens and bathrooms, and can even be used as a statement piece or focal point. Wall tiles are smaller than floor tiles and not as durable. They come in a variety of shapes and colors and can come in preset patterns or you can create your own! Wall tiles also look great on shower walls.
Wall tiles can also be used to create a backsplash in your kitchen using mosaic and glass tiles. The different colors and shapes can be arranged to make geometric shapes that can be adhered to your kitchen or bathroom wall.
